About the Company
Pueblo Springs Health and Rehab is looking for an outstanding and dedicated ADON to join our leadership team. We are a part of Bandera Healthcare which currently has 26 skilled nursing facilities in the state of Arizona, with 7 in the Tucson Market. These operations have no corporate headquarters or traditional management hierarchy. Instead, they operate independently with support from the “Service Center,” a world-class service team that provides the centralized legal, human resource, training, accounting, IT and other resources necessary to allow on-site leaders and caregivers to focus on day-to-day care and business issues in their facilities and operations.

About the Opportunity
The right candidate will posses an ownership attitude, a high degree of initiative and view no task as too large or too small. The primary role of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. 

Specific duties for this role include:

  • At the direction of the director of nursing, assists in directing and coordinating the provision of nursing care to residents consistent with standard nursing practices
  • Participates in and contributes to the performance of duties/tasks assigned to the director of nursing
  •  Assists in assuring the provision of treatments, medications, and nursing services according to care plans and physicians instructions
  • Contributes to the orientation and professional development of the nursing staff.
  • May act for the director of nursing as assigned in directing the activities of the nursing staff.
  • May coordinate nursing team meetings
  • May participate in assessment and evaluation of nursing services and nursing staff.
  • Assists with nursing service quality assessment and assurance functions and activities.
  • Performs other duties/tasks as assigned by the director of nursing
  • Maintains compliance with requirements in compliance program/plan

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for this role include:

•    2-3 year(s) of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility, preferred
•    Must possess a current, unencumbered, active nurse’s license from the state of Arizona.
•    Strong leadership skills
•    PCC experience is preferred
