Position Outline


The AR Manager provides supervision, direction, guidance, support, training and oversight to AR Specialists supporting our affiliate operations ensuring positive Accounts Receivable trends and results in all operations. Reports to the Accounting Manager and assists in implementing and monitoring company-wide accounting, compliance and educational initiatives.


We are looking for an excellent leader, a culture champion, someone that will pursue excellence in all aspects of the role and deliver consistently positive AR results. The primary objective of the AR Manager is to provide supervision, support, guidance, and direction to a team of AR Resource partners to obtain and sustain positive AR Performance.

Qualifications


The right candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related Healthcare field, plus five years relevant financial and managerial experience. Must have advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical skills and billing knowledge are essential. We are looking for a team player and team leader that is highly motivated and able to work under pressure. Prior experience with transportation/healthcare is a plus.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead different levels of employee expertise, and advance/improve their skill sets and allocate resources over expansive geographic areas.
  • Proactively works as a liaison with Operations and AR Specialists to address and resolve root cause concerns contributing to poor AR performance in the operation.
  • Provides leadership in hiring, training, coaching and disciplining of AR Specialists, up to and including termination, when necessary.
  • Effective design and deliver professional quality meetings and training programs.
  • Ability to understand and interpret contractual language to provide guidance to others regarding unique contracts and billing circumstances.
  • Advanced knowledge of billing, collections, accounting and audit practices and procedures.
  • Analyzes, monitors, and improves all AR metrics and trends such as Credit Balances, Cash, DSO, and Bad Debt through routine communication with AR Specialists and Operations.
  • Provides analysis of the AR metrics to communicate company results and improvement opportunities to Operations Leaders/Presidents/EDs and AR Specialists on a monthly basis.
  • Developing root cause analysis and trending on factors driving AR Results.
